Crouch Valley AGM

Wednesday the 18th Jan 2012 was the Crouch Valley AGM Meeting, a great turnout was seen to vote in our new committee .

We did not have many changes, except the very sad resignation of Ray Nichols (Dizzy) who has been a massive part of the club for many years, a big thanks for all his support. Taking his place is Michael Thompson who we are sure will do a great job.

Also please note that we also can confirm that the raffle for a £150 koi voucher, that was kindly donated by Avenue Fisheries was won in December by Chris Bellinger.

Once again many thanks Avenue and we all look forward to seeing you at your fantastic shop in 2012.

Full committee details can be found on our website at:

Crouch Valley October Meeting

Massive thanks to Mark Davis, of Cuttlebrook Koi. Did a brilliant talk on koi appreciation. So refreshing to talk about the good points of any koi and not just criticise .

As always we filled the hall in excess of 70 members ,

Mark is a fantastic, passionate speaker on any koi related subject, and runs a fantastic UK based , high quality fish farm. If you have not visited him..please do.

Many thanks Mr F

Essex Trip Report

On Sunday 9 Oct 2011 the Essex Section set out on a wet and rainy morning to visit two koi dealers one was Koi Water Garden were we spent the first few hours. Although there were some nice fish there for sale only one member bought a fish, I think we were all holding out for the next place, lucky for us the rain stopped and the sun come out.

Crouch Valley Autumn Auction

Many thanks to every one who attended on Sunday, at our regular venue at Barlylands farm in Essex, another fantastically supported event with over 300 lots sold to koi Hobbyists, for a price to suit all.

As always our members work hard in setting up and packing away...with a huge input from Graham Hall, our Club Chairman who makes sure the Auctions run smooth.

Its always nice to help our members, so when one of our members wanted to sell some of his fish and has been very ill recently, Graham hall and Darren Hepple went and netted, boxed and bagged a few dozen  fish. Only thing was it was over a hundred mile round trip....all part of the Crouch Valley freindhsip, that makes us a great club !! Well gents !!

Looking forward to Spring 2012 for another great day out

Again many thanks

PRO ian Franklin
