2005 National Show Results

2005 was the 30th anniversary of the BKKS and the national show saw an entrance of over 320 individual koi from all over the UK and a well known name once again taking the title of Grand Champion, Cliff Neale, with his 93cm Sanke.

Koi 2004 Show Results

Koi  2004 was held at the Newark Showground over the weekend of 26th / 27th June. It was this show that saw the man who had been 'close but not quite' make the leap up to winning the Grand Champion award with a Koi known as “the Mask”

Koi 2003 Show Results

The 2003 national saw a new name added to the winners hall of fame for the first time since 1995. Cliff Neale was a new hobbyist and had only been keeping koi for 4 years at this point in time but he also won the Baby Champion prize at the show this year with a Kohaku.

Koi 2002 Show Results

After the problems and disappointments of the 2001 show being cancelled due to unacceptably high levels of chlorines and chloramines being found present in some vats and the fact that a number of fish were lost as a result, the 2002 show had to restore the faith in the koi community, the number of fish entered showed that it did.

Koi 2000 Show Report

This year's show was more of an exercise in water quality than anything else. This was because, whilst the National has suffered from lack of support, it still stands at the top of the pile when it comes to exhibited koi and people showing their koi demand nothing less than the very best in water quality - and that is what they got. Every gallon of water was stringently tested before going into the vats.
