Benaya Art Ceramic koi tiles

Well our Birthdays have been and gone for this year and we have just been given our fifth Benaya Koi tile from two of our sections younger members Matt and Tash.

For those who haven't come across Benaya tiles before they are the most beautiful artists interpretation of Koi Carp.

They are unique and are all hand crafted each being hand painted and fired with complex and brilliantly colourful glazes and they can be discribed as works of art who have been imortalized in stone.

Spring Clean

Well it's that time of the year in the Brox and Val houshold to do the old spring clean and when I say spring clean I mean it with a controled thermo nuclear explosion of a spring clean (well maybe not that bad) but starting at the top of our setup working our way down to the bottom.

Thoroughly cleaning the gravel with the Adapted external filter which is used as a Vacuum cleaner ,also cleaning large rocks of any alge that has built up over the year, remembering to check undergravel filter for any breaks (coming up on five yearly change).

Navigating

Well we are still finding our way around this new website but from what we have seen of things Gareth is doing an outstanding job.

It would be nice to see a few more of the old faces come over, as there dosen't seem to be that many of us who have taken the plunge as of yet.

Had hectic phone call from our youngest member this morning it appear's one of his koi has swim bladder problems so have pointed him in the right direction treatment wise, after running things past our HSC.
