Crouch Valley 4 Month Review
Its been a long and cold Winter for the Koi keepers at Crouch Valley and whilst the pond may not have its spring and summer appeal, at the Crouch Valley BKKS section we have a great time every month.
A great start to the year with fantastic talks, and audiance participation with most nights attracting over 70 members!
January
We held our Annual General Meeting. It was great to see most of the committee was reflected and goes to show that what we are doing ,the members are very happy with,
It is always very positive to know the club is financial very sound and the member base is continuing to grow with well over 100 households being members,
February
A brilliant and informative presentation on Koi Appreciation - Christine Woolger. This was such a detailed and well received talk, we just wanted the presentation to continue, and we all look forward to seeing Christine again next year.
March
Was another special night, Kevin Ellis gave an information and enjoyable overview of his fanatical hobby of Koi Keeping. Kevin explained all that he has learnt over the last few years, and most importantly what also went wrong. A night of laughs and cheers and some great photos of Kevin, in his prime at 18!

April
Bernie Wollands beat the trouble on the M25 motorway and went through his brilliant presentation on Demystifying Judging,.
He tried in two hours to explain what a judge is trying to achieve in finding that champion fish at any show. This has taken Bernie a decade to learn , but explained so well.
From comment already, many members believe that they have a pond full of grand champions just waiting to be judged.
Our Disco/buffet was held on the 9th April, a great night to catch up with other members and talk koi, have a drink and just have a nice relaxing evening with friends.
We now look forward to our Summer at the crouch with our first Auction of the year in May and our fantastic closed show where this year we have added more vats to our increasing members to show their koi. This is on the June 10th, 11th & 12th (Fri, Sat & Sun) at Barlyland farm in Essex, in conjunction with the Garden Show .
Looking forward to the end of summer review
Thanks
