Crouch Valley AGM
Wednesday the 18th Jan 2012 was the Crouch Valley AGM Meeting, a great turnout was seen to vote in our new committee .
We did not have many changes, except the very sad resignation of Ray Nichols (Dizzy) who has been a massive part of the club for many years, a big thanks for all his support. Taking his place is Michael Thompson who we are sure will do a great job.
Also please note that we also can confirm that the raffle for a £150 koi voucher, that was kindly donated by Avenue Fisheries was won in December by Chris Bellinger.
Once again many thanks Avenue and we all look forward to seeing you at your fantastic shop in 2012.
Full committee details can be found on our website at:
Kennet Valley Koi Society Open Show 2011
Saturday 3rd and Sunday 4th September saw Kennet Valley hold their 2011 Show at Hare Hatch Sheeplands Garden Centre near Reading for the third consecutive year, only this time is was an Open Show!
Quite late on in 2011 it was decided that the Club would hold an Open Show in 2011, something that has not been done by the Club for a number of years. This would give an opportunity to any other Koi Clubs or other Koi enthusiasts to show their koi. As always no show is possible without the club members who work in the background ensuring everything is in place when show time arrives.
Mr Alan Coogan – Membership Status
Last year the BKKS Council investigated the membership status of Mr Alan Coogan, following suggestions that he may have been in contravention of Society Rules as a full member and should have been classified as a trade member.
No evidence was offered to support these allegations and Mr Coogan was able to provide documentary evidence to the council to confirm his membership status was correct.
The council regret any upset caused to Mr & Mrs Coogan for the manner in which the investigation was conducted and any unnecessary concerns it raised.
