CVKC Welcomes Cuttlebrook
On the 21st October 2009 Crouch Valley Koi Club had there October meeting, the club was very much looking forward to this night as we had Mark Davis from Cuttlebrook Koi Farm for a very enjoyable and informative evening.
Look what fell off the back of a Lorry!
We had the pleasure of attending Dutch National in August 2004 with the South East Section…..and that is where the story really begins. If you’ve never been to the show then you are missing out. Held in the grounds of a castle it has just about everything you can wish for ……superb Koi, food, filters, clothing and of course pond constructors.

A Detritus Problem Solved
Last year (or was it the year before?) I decided to convert the first chamber of my multi-bay filter to use fluidised K1 media. Removing the original matting and filling the chamber with K1 was easy, but containing the K1 to prevent it escaping when the chamber was flushed or finding its way into the second chamber, or worse still the pump impellor, was much more challenging. Finally, (or so I thought) was the simple task of installing the air supply needed to fluidise the media.
